We are a family business that has grown from a small beginning to be a substantial subcontracting operation throughout the UK.
Giblin Civils have worked with many of the largest national Civil Engineering Contractors on their projects valued in excess of millions of pounds. We complete small and major projects to the highest standard for all of our clients within the construction industry, projects ranging from Highway works, Environmental, Ground works & Civil engineering, Utilities, Private and Public as well as Commercial works.
We are flexible and proactive, working closely with the main contractors to ensure programs are achieved and additional works are completed efficiently and to the best standard possible. Health and safety is also a big factor within our business so we like to ensure all works are being carried out safely by using the correct tools and equipment at all times as well as providing first class safety training to all our staff.
Highways
We can work on all types of civil engineering projects including motorways, road junctions, access roads, road widening as well as pedestrian/toucan crossings. We specialise in providing integrated highways term maintenance and specialist highways services
Highways Maintenance
Our clients include local authorities or Term Maintenance Contractors (TMCs), as well as the Highways Agency, Managing Agent Contractors (MACs) and transport and government organisations. In addition we also deliver highways maintenance services for construction companies and private businesses such as retailers and leisure providers.
Working nationwide, our objective is to help clients extend the life of their assets by providing innovative products and processes focussed on sustaining the environment and tailored to suit a range of budgets and requirements. Working together with our clients we iron out all cause and effect (potential or real) scenarios to ensure quality assurance.
Groundworks
We operate nationally as a main contractor, managing and carrying out all elements of civil engineering works. From inception to completion we are committed to delivering excellent levels of service in every project we undertake.
Giblin Civils specialise in delivering all aspects of groundworks, including site preparation and clearance, bulk excavations, utility ducting, and foundations. Our teams have established an excellent reputation for high quality works and productivity levels, resulting in high levels of repeat business for our groundworks division
Plant & Labour Hire
We provide the right equipment as well as the right people for the job – from two-man preparation crews to eight-man machine gangs – often at short notice.
Giblin Civils can provide skilled operatives to compliment your existing gang, a full hand-lay gang, a complete machine-lay or chipping crew, site supervision or any other combination of proven, high-calibre personnel.
We supply experienced personnel with a full range of skills, including:
Contract Managers, Site Supervisors, Foremen, Paver Drivers, Screwsmen, Roller Drivers, Tractaire Drivers, Chipper Driver and Crew, Bob Cat Drivers, Dumper Drivers, General Labourers.
All our employees are fully CSCS compliant and hold EPIC cards for their plant. We work with the MPQPC and our staff are qualified to the highest standards, including NPORS, NVQ2, NVQ 3, Sector Scheme 12 and Streetworks.
